The city of Lake Worth, Florida, accidentally warned residents on Sunday that the zombie apocalypse was upon them. The emergency alert, which was supposed to inform residents of a city-wide power outage, was reportedly sent by mistake just before 2am.

The citys public information officer, Ben Kerr, reassured residents that there was no real danger, and that the 7,880 people who were actually affected by the power outage were back up and running within a half hour.
