The attorney representing a porn actress waging a legal battle against President Donald Trump is criticizing another journalist for publishing an unflattering report about his law firms bankruptcy.

Michael Avenatti, the attorney representing Stormy Daniels, blasted a Los Angeles Times reporter in a tweet following a report detailing unflattering aspects of his law firms bankruptcy. He has a history of blasting reporters he considers unethical.

“Breaking: Avenatti law firm hit today with $10 million judgment in U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Justice Dept lawyer says Avenatti also defaulted on back taxes hed agreed to pay. Story ahead,” LA Times reporter Michael Finnegan wrote in a tweet Tuesday. Avenatti did not appreciate the tweet or the report and accused Finnegan of treating him unfairly.

Nonsense. Completely different law firm – no ties to Daniels case. Irrelevant. Over blown. Sensational reporting at its finest. Check the facts next time please and report accurately.

“Nonsense. Completely different law firm — no ties to Daniels case. Irrelevant. Over blown. Sensational reporting at its finest. Check the facts next time please and report accurately,” he wrote in a retweet of Finnegans post.

Avenattis law firm was slapped with a $10-million judgment Tuesday morning in U.S. Bankruptcy Court after he broke a promise to pay $2 million to a former colleague, Finnegan reported. A judge in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Santa Ana ordered the Eagan Avenatti law firm to pay the pricey fine to Jason Frank, a lawyer who used to work at the Newport Beach firm.

He personally guaranteed to fork over $2 million to Frank to settle his law firms bankruptcy, but both he and his firm failed to turn over the money. The Justice Department revealed at the hearing Tuesday that Avenattis firm has also defaulted on back taxes it promised to pay the Internal Revenue Service.
