James Milner has turned down the chance to play for England at the World Cup this summer, according to reports.
The 32-year-old retired from England duty after Euro 2016 and has been using the international breaks as an opportunity to recover during Liverpools season.
But Milner has been in sublime form for Jurgen Klopps side in recent weeks, which has led to calls for the midfielder to make a comeback at the World Cup.
According to The Times, the Football Association has looked into bringing Milner back for this summers tournament.
But the report claims that the midfielder, who has been capped 61 times at senior level, is stick with his decision to stay retired from international football.
Obviously the decision with England was a tough one, but the manager has looked after me in international weeks, giving me time off. It really does help me, Milner said earlier this month.
But Im not at the stage where hell tell me to have a sauna instead of going out to train. And I dont think you can do that, the way we play.

We train very hard here.
I am still mixing it and covering the ground for Liverpool and it is probably one of the hardest places to play because of the physical demands.
