Antonio Conte claims Alvaro Moratas miss played no part in his decision to take him off during Chelseas 2-1 victory over Burnley.
With the Blues already a goal ahead, Morata had the chance to kill the game when he charged through on goal with just Nick Pope to beat.
But the Spaniard failed to hit the target and was replaced by Eden Hazard shortly after.

In the dug-out, Morata was seen throwing his shin pads and boots to the ground and engaging with Burnley fans who were goading him.
Asked whether club-record signing Morata was taken off because of the miss, Conte said: No, honestly.

Around 70 minutes, I thought that it was better to put fresh strength with Hazard. He is a player that has different characteristics to Morata.

I am pleased for their performances, they played very well.
On Moratas reaction to be subbed off, Conte added: Alvaro must be angry, because when you have the chance to score you have to score and it can change your confidence.
He was angry with himself for his missed chance. But I have to see his whole performance and it wasnt possible in the past to play with two strikers. They did a great job, as did the whole team.
Chelsea took the lead at Turf Moor thanks to Shane Longs own goal – the defender put the ball into the back of his own net from a Victor Moses cross.

Burnley, chasing European football, equalised in the second half through Ashley Barnes but Moses settled the affair five minutes later with a fine strike.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Conte added: We played a good game against a difficult team because it is not simple to play against Burnley.
We played the game very well and the two strikers worked very well. They played a fantastic game with and without the ball. The whole team played an intensive game. We deserved to win.
Burnley manager Sean Dyche, meanwhile, said: They had a couple of moments where they had a couple of golden chances, mainly from our bad play. The first goal was a mix up.

There has been a bit of noise around them but they are still a top side. I am really pleased with our growing mentality. It is not easy when you are a goal down to come out and take the game on and I felt we did that.
I am really pleased with how we are going about our business this season. All in all, closer than where we have been in the past where we have been with these sides. Not disappointed overall.
We are not them, we are not close to them yet, but we have moved forward.
