The 2018 Grand National is slated for this Saturday and arent we all just super excited?!
On Saturday 14 April at 5.15pm, 40 horses will charge around the worlds most famous steeplechase at Aintree, taking a crack at the 30 fences over the course of four-and-a-half miles.
But lets be honest. For the casual fan, we all live for the annual cheeky flutter on a horse weve never heard of, dreaming of the day that our randomly selected steed crosses the line first!

And what better way to enjoy the event than by having an office or family sweepstake to make the race that little bit more interesting?

Some may cry: But arent sweepstakes bloody difficult to organise?
To which I reply: Neigh (get it?)! For Metro.co.uk has got your back.
In the words of the legendary meerkat Alexander: Its Simples. All you have to do is download our delightful Grand National sweepstake kit, follow the instructions and away you go…

Heres how to run a sweepstake:
Step one:
Print out a copy of the form with the horses and jockeys, cut out the slips carefully, and put them in a hat, cup, or any vessel of your choice!
Step two:
Use the other page to write down whos picked which horse. This will save plenty of arguments at collection time next week.
Step three:
Remember the golden rule of running any sweepstake: MAKE SURE PEOPLE PAY BEFOREHAND. It might sound tight, but its tough to get money off a losing punter.
All thats left to do is sit back, relax and watch your horse (hopefully) storm to glory.
Its as easy as pie! (all horses correct as of 7/4/2016 and were trying to update the guide if any horses drop out).
