The Gunners have endured a difficult campaign and are expected to be busy in the transfer market as they seek to rectify the situation.
There are also question marks over the futures of numerous current players, with midfield pair Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey out of contract this summer and next respectively. Their fellow midfielder Santi Cazorla continues to struggle with injury and may also need to be replaced.

The Telegraph report that Mislintat has made midfield and defence his priorities accordingly.
Schalke midfielder Max Meyer is believed to be on the Gunners radar. The 22-year-old Germany international is out of contract this summer and his club have said they expect him to leave.
