
Paul Pogba missed training with Manchester United in the lead-up to the side’sChampions League last-16 clash with Sevilla.
The 24-year-old midfielder was not named in Jose Mourinho’s squad which pulled off a 2-1 victory over Liverpool at the weekend after sustaining a thigh injury in training.
There were hopes that Pogba would return in time for Tuesday night’s second leg match against Sevilla but the Frenchman was absent at United’s Carrington training base on Monday morning.

Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera and Daley Blind were also missing, while Eric Bailly was present after an injury scare on Saturday.
The Red Devils head into the Old Trafford clash with the scoreline goalless following the first leg at the Ramon Sánchez Pizjuan Stadium.


Mourinho admitted at the weekend that he was unsure whether Pogba would be ready to face Sevilla.
‘I don’t know,’ the Portuguese said after United’s victory over Liverpool.

‘He’s downstairs now and I will go and speak with him. The injury? It was contact with a player in the last minute of the training session [on Friday].
‘If I finished the session one minutes before it wouldn’t have happened.’
