Mesut Ozil revealed that he has received an offer to join Manchester United during talks with Fenerbahce, according to reports in Turkey.
The 29-year-old’s current deal with Arsenal expires at the end of the season and Jose Mourinho’s side could sign him on a free transfer next summer.
According to Turkish newspaper Sabah, Fenerbahce have already asked Ozil if he wants to join them next year.
But the Germany international reportedly told the Turkish club that he intends to stay in the Premier League and claimed he has a ‘serious proposal’ from United.
Sabah also report that Ozil believes Old Trafford is his probable destination once he leaves Arsenal.
Ozil played under Mourinho for three seasons at Real Madrid and has credited the Portuguese manager for being able to get the best out of him.

Earlier this week, reports in Spain claimed that Ozil is also on Barcelona’s radar as an alternative signing to Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho.
Catalunya Radio reported that Barca have already held talks with Ozil’s agent, Dr Erkut Sogut, and a three-and-a-half-year deal has been agreed.
Ozil will be free to openly negotiate with overseas clubs in January if he fails to agree a new contract with Arsenal.
