Snapchat have recently updated the way their filters work, and for some of you, this will resolve one of the most annoying things about the app.
When the time or temperature filter covers your face.
The time, date, temperature, and altitude filters were previously accessible just like the geofilters and edit filters in that you could swipe right or left once you had taken a Snapchat picture or video to layer on these effects.
However, one thing that was incredibly annoying about the time, date, temperature and altitude filters was that they were immovable so they would be plonked right in the middle of the screen and maybe covering the subject of the photo or video.
If you open your Snapchat app now and take a snap and want to show everyone what time or date it is then you will not find the time and temperature filters when you swipe left.
Where have they gone?

The time and temperature filters are now present as stickers meaning you can freely move them around your screen.
To find them in the stickers bank, so after you take a picture or video, when you are in the editing stage, you will see some icons on the right side of the screen.
The third one down is the stickers button, it looks like a sticker being peeled off.
Press this and you will see at the top the time, temperature and battery status in sticker form, all you have to do is click which one you want and then it will appear on the screen of your snap.
To change the temperature between Celsius and Fahrenheit or date and time just tap once on the sticker, to move it drag it around and pinch to make it smaller or bigger.
The Snapchat gods have spoken and finally, no time or date will ever ruin your perfect selfie again.
Any avoid climbers may be upset to know the altitude filter has disappeared – like anyone could understand it anyway.
