Manchester United are expressing a strong interest in Club Agropecuario Argentino star Enzo Diaz, the defender has confirmed.
It’s understood Luke Shaw’s days are numbered at Old Trafford and Jose Mourinho is on the hunt for the 22-year-old’s replacement at left-back before the 2018/19 campaign.
Worrying? Man United star heaps praise on rival manager amid transfer links
Tottenham’s Danny Rose and Benfica’s Alex Grimaldo have both been linked with the Red Devils in recent weeks and Argentine full-back Diaz has lifted the lid on United’s interest in him.
Speaking to Ataque Futbolero, Diaz said: ‘I found out about it on Saturday morning, but later I did not talk to anyone other than my agent.
‘My agent told me that they were delighted and they were going to see me a couple more games.
The 21-year-old defender admitted that he ‘dreams’ of joining the Red Devils.
He added: ‘It is the dream of any footballer [to play for Manchester United].
