Carl Froch has told talkSPORT Saturday's big fight between Anthony Joshua and Carlos Takam is a more exciting encounter than the Brit's original billed bout againstKubrat Pulev.
Pulevhad been the mandatory challenger to Joshua’s IBF and WBA world heavyweight belts, but he was forced to pull out after injuring his shoulder during a sparring session.
Takam was the next challenger in the rankings and swiftly took the Bulgarian’s place for this weekend's clash at the Vitality Stadium in Cardiff.

Many boxing fans were left disappointed by the swap and considered Takam as a considerable downgrade to the former European heavyweight title holder.
But former super-middleweight world champion Froch believes facing the Cameroonian-French fighter will make for a more thrilling bout for both Joshua and boxing fans.
“I’m happy about the change – it’s probably a better fight for the fans,” he told talkSPORT host Jim White.
“I wasn’t really so much looking forward to the Pulev fight. I’m not a big fan of his style, he’s a bit of a gatekeeper and he doesn’t really come to win.
“But Takam seems fired up. He’s confident and he’s been training for this fight, this is his big chance and I’m sure he’ll really be going for it. I’ve got a feeling Takam will come and swing away and will try to win, and that’s what the fans want to see.
“Takam is more aggressive, he’s a big puncher and in heavyweight boxing anything can happen
“I’m not saying for one minute that I think Anthony Joshua is going to lose, I think he’ll win and I think he’ll win in style.
“But Takam brings problems because he’s a puncher, so anything can happen.”
