John Cena will take on RAW superstar Kevin Owens on his televised return at WWE Super Show-Down on October 6 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.
Cena hasnt appeared on WWE television since April at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia where he beat legendary rival Triple H.
The Champs next scheduled appearance is set to take place on September 1 at a live event in Shanghai where he is expected to also debut a brand new finisher he picked up during his training at Jackie Chans JC Stunt Team International Training Centre.
However, his return in China will not be televised and therefore only the fans in attendance will be able to watch the 16-time world champion in action.
But WWE Super Show-Down will be streamed on the WWE Network for everyone around the world to watch and it was announced that The Leader of the Cenation will take on former rival Owens.
The two heavyweights have had some epic battles at Elimination Chamber, Money in the Bank and Battleground three years ago.
Owens is set for a big match at SummerSlam before the tour in Australia as he will take on Braun Strowman for the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Cena had been linked with a big WrestleMania 34 rematch against The Undertaker at SummerSlam but the fight will probably not happen as it got absolutely no build-up nine days before the biggest Pay-Per-View event of the summer.
Undertaker destroyed the ex-WWE Champion in under three minutes at WrestleMania four months ago with just one Chokeslam and a Tombstone Piledriver.
SummerSlam takes place on August 19 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York where Universal Champion and UFC legend Brock Lesnar will defend the belt against Roman Reigns and MMA hero Ronda Rousey will challenge Alexa Bliss for the RAW Womens Championship.
